Capri first fell in love with performance on a cruise ship at the age of four, when her “kids club” performed on stage. The show; revolving around a piece of gum at a bus stop let to her frist major roll; dog who urinates (tastefully of course) on the gum stuck to the chair. It wasn't the attention Capri enjoyed but the laughter she could hear around the room, the feeling left her with something indescribable. In 2015/2016 Capri studied in America where she was able to compete at the State finals for Forensics, a Drama and Speech tournament in the category Prose. In 2017 Capri was able to graduate with a band 6 in Drama HSC. While at AIM Capri has been able to portray a wide range of characters; Paula in Andrew Bovell’s ‘After Dinner’ dir. by Peta Downes, Michael Fitzhubert in Tom Wright’s ‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’ dir. by Dr David Fenton, Guildenstern/ Player One (the king)/ Bernardo in ‘Hamlet’ dir. by Dr David Fenton and most recently ‘Win’ in Caryl Churchill’s ‘Top Girls’ dir. Peta Downes. Capri’s official theatre lighting debut will occur in March of 2021 designing two shows; ‘In Their Footsteps’ and ‘Rattling The Keys’ as a part of Theatre Travels NO:Intermission festival. However her entryway to the lighting world was as a lighting assistant for dir. Peta Downs adaptation of Doug Richmond’s ‘How To Disappear Completely and Never Be Found’ (ALD/OP, 2018) She then went on to design for shows such as ‘As You Like it’ (LD/OP 2019) and ‘Love and Information’ (LD/OP 2020) as well as lighting for musicians such as Ali Barter, Alex Lahey, The Kava Kings, The Moving Stills and Nathan Cavaleri as part of Australian Music Week (2019).
